都では、「世界から選ばれる都市」の実現を目指して、
日本人の英語力向上に向けた取組を推進しています。

今回、ビジネスや生活の様々な場面で英語による
コミュニケーションの機会を増やすための新たなプロジェクトを、
大手町・丸の内・有楽町地区(大丸有地区)において開始しました。

こうした取組により、
大丸有地区で英語の活用を広げるムーブメントを展開し、
多様な人々の対話や交流が生まれる魅力あるエリアの形成を目指していきます。

To realize a Tokyo that can be “chosen as one of the top megacities by the global community,” the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is promoting efforts to have the English proficiency of Japanese people enhanced further.
As part of such efforts, the TMG has launched a new project in the combined districts of Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho
— the Daimaru-Yu District for short — to increase opportunities for people to communicate in English in various scenes of business and daily life.
Through these efforts, we aim to develop a movement to expand the use of English in the Daimaru-Yu district, thus creating an attractive area that fosters dialogue and exchange by a diverse range of people.
